ITS WEBSITE
Ever wondered why hotmail and yahoo web email accounts are so popular? Simple, you can access your emails from any computer, anywhere in the world, without the need for any specialist software being installed on the machine you are using (provided, of course, you have a live internet connection). Well you can now add GroupWise to this list.
Yes, you can now access your GroupWise email account from anywhere in the world via the internet without having the GroupWise software installed. Simply go to web URL http://www.groupwise.swin.edu.au, enter your Novell login name and your GroupWise password and you're in! (Setting a GroupWise Password).
GroupWise web access has been improved in recent times, with a feature rich look and feel, that supports such features as drag and drop, allowing you greater flexibility in managing your mail and collaborating with your colleagues whilst out of the office.
With GroupWise web access, you can also get access to :
You can share personal folders with other users. Recipients of the shared folder receive a notification explaining that you have shared the folder with them. They can then accept or decline the folder.
In GroupWise you can save the results of a search in a folder. Although you cannot create these searches via WebAccess, you can view any Find Results folders you have already created.

The GroupWise proxy feature lets a GroupWise user access another GroupWise user's Mailbox to perform various actions, such as reading, sending, accepting, and declining items, on behalf of the user. This means that you can manage another user's Mailbox (including the Calendar), or you can allow another user to manage your Mailbox.
The Address Book stores information about users, resources, and organisations. You can use the Address Book to search for information or to add e-mail addresses to an item you are composing. The Address Book consists of the GroupWise system address book, one or more personal address books, the Frequent Contacts address book, and possibly shared address books.
You can use rules to define actions that you want to be performed on items you receive. For example, you can forward or reply to messages or move messages to folders. Rules can help you organise your Mailbox, automate your Mailbox while you are away, or delete unwanted items. In WebAccess you can create, delete, enable and disable rules via a simplified rule creation process.
The Calendar displays any appointments, tasks, and notes you've received whether you've accepted them or not. You can perform the same actions on an item in the Calendar that you can on an item in the Mailbox, such as accepting, declining, delegating, or moving the item. In addition, you can also decline, delegate, or move items you've accepted that no longer appear in your Mailbox.
You can save drafts of items to be finished later, and access items saved in your regular GroupWise client.
The Name Completion feature finishes addresses from your Frequent Contacts Address Book for you.
You can right-click on a folder or item to see a menu of commonly used functions and options.
You can schedule appointments, tasks, and reminder notes for yourself and other users. You can also reserve a block of time with a posted appointment.
You can use the QuickFind feature for fast, full-text searches through your mailbox.
You can move items around your desktop with a click of your mouse.
You can now view delivery status, send options, and Junk Mail Handling results, among others.
You can re-arrange the folders in your Folders list, add and delete folders, and share folders more easily.
You can resend items that you have already sent.
