You haven’t finished the proposal due tomorrow morning, but you have to be elsewhere and won’t be back in the office until then. What do you do?
Well once upon a time you would probably email the file to yourself, download it from your email, make amendments, email back to yourself and if all goes according to plan, save over the original copy held on your network drive, this of course assumes that the file is less than 5mb and can be emailed!
No need to go through all that work, NetStorage is a web browser application that connects you to your H, G and T drives via a live internet connection.
With an easy to follow menu system, you can delete, rename, copy and move files and/or folders, upload and download files and create new folders all from the web browser, from any computer with a live internet connection.
So
what does this mean for you? Well that proposal you didn’t quite finish,
not a problem, just jump on-line at http://netstorage.swin.edu.au
and login using your Novell login and password, and you can easily download
that proposal, finish it at home, or anywhere for that matter, and then simply
upload again (making sure if you are using the same filename that you tick
the box to save over existing file, hate to lose all that hard work!).

For further information and instructions, take a look at the Netstorage How to Guide or contact the ITS Service Desk on 9214-5000 or via email servicedesk@swin.edu.au
