How do I change the default font to sans serif?
The WYSIWYG Editor uses the defaults from the IE browser so in order to change the WYSIWYG properties you need to change the IE browser properties. This is done via the Tools menu in IE. From the Tools Menu select Internet Options and then Fonts from the base of the General Tab (first Tab you'll see). Then just select the Web Page font you need eg. Arial and click OK to chose and OK to close the Internet Options box.
I am missing subjects on my list when I login
There are a number of possibilities as to why you can't see some or all of the Units of Study you are enrolled in when you login to Blackboard.
Cause
The unit of study has not been made available to students yet.
Solution
Ask your lecturer to make the unit of study available.
Cause
You have only recently paid your enrollment fee. It takes approximately
48 hours since paying your enrollment fees before your Blackboard account
is created.
Solution
. Wait 48 hours before trying again.
Cause
There is a problem with your enrollment.
Solution
Contact the Blackboard helpdesk and provide them with:
- your student number, and
- details of the subjects that do not appear on your subject list when you login.
The Blackboard helpdesk can then verify whether your enrolment details are correct, if they are incorrect they can direct you to your Faculty Administrator.
Can I view multiple discussion messages simultaneously?
Within the Discussion Board you are able to view more than one message at a time, by using the Discussion Board options panel.
Click the Discussion Board button from within any
subject.
The Discussion Boards page displays all forums in your subject
in which you can participate. Select a forum.

Click the Go button for Select All .

This selects all threads and messages in the forum.

Click the Collect All button . This opens all of the selected messages for viewing at the one time.

All messages selected are displayed on the one page. This is very useful for printing multiple messages.

I can't download pdf's
If you are unable to download pdf files you may not have Acrobat Reader installed on your system (download Acrobat Reader). If it is installed on your computer it can be found via the Start button and should be under the be Programs tab.
I use a Mac and am having problems downloading files
Check if the file you are downloading from Blackboard has an extension. Files without an extension can not be downloaded as Blackboard is unsure how to open the file. If there is no extension tell your lecturer to add the file again but with an extension.
