Internet Browser Proxy Settings

Windows - Internet Explorer

  • Click Tools
  • Internet Options
  • Select Connections tab
  • LAN Settings button
  • Click the box that says Use Automatic configuration Script
  • Enter http://proxy.swin.edu.au/proxy.pac into the Address box
  • Click OK twice to save this setting

Windows - Firefox

  • Click Tools
  • Options
  • Advanced
  • Select Network tab
  • Settings button
  • Click the radio button that says Automatic proxy configuration URL
  • Enter http://proxy.swin.edu.au/proxy.pac into the box
  • Click OK twice to save this setting

Macintosh - Firefox

  • Click Firefox | Preferences
  • (Main) Choose the Advaced tab
  • Select Network | Settings
  • Select radio button Automatic proxy configuration URL
  • Enter http://proxy.swin.edu.au/proxy.pac
  • Select OK
  • Close Preferences

Macintosh - Safari

  • Click the Apple (top left corner)
  • Select System Preferences
  • Select Network
  • Select Airport
  • Select Configure
  • Select Proxies
  • Scroll down and check the box Automatic Proxy Configuration
  • Enter http://proxy.swin.edu.au/proxy.pac in the URL box
  • Click Apply Now to save this setting
  • Close System Preferences
