SIMS First Login

Note

If this is the first time you have logged in to the SIMS Account Management Tool you will need to configure your challenge questions and answers. This only needs to be done once. Challenge questions and answers allow a user to reset their own password without calling the ITS Service Desk.

Synchronise Password and Set Challenge Questions Video Instructions

  • Open My.Swinburne Login Page
  • Enter your SIMS Username (My.Swinburne/Novell Username) (refer to SIMS Q & A web guide)
  • Enter your SIMS Password (My.Swinburne password) (refer to SIMS Q & A web guide)
  • Select Submit button
  • My.Swinburne home page: Select SIMS Password Change from menu
  • Enter SIMS Username (My.Swinburne/Novell Username) (refer to SIMS Q & A web guide)
  • Enter SIMS Password (My.Swinburne Password) (refer to SIMS Q & A web guide)
  • Select Login button
  • Challenge question screen: Select three different questions and enter corresponding answers
  • Select Setup Hints button
  • Enter your new SIMS Password
  • Re-enter your new SIMS Password to confirm the change
  • Select Change SIMS Password button
  • New Password will now be synchronised
  • Select Logout
  • Select Home from the main menu to return to My.Swinburne home page
  • Select Logout
