Macintosh OSX 10.5 (Leopard) Wireless Connection

  • Download Swinwifi files for Mac OSX 10.5 to your desktop
  • Turn off your wireless connection by selecting Wireless icon | Turn AirPort Off
  • Double click the swinwifi files from desktop
  • Double click the radius.cc.swin.edu.cer file
  • From the Keychain list select System
  • Select OK
  • Keychain Access window: enter your Local Administrator password
  • Select OK
  • Select Always Trust
  • Enter Local Administrator password
  • Select OK
  • Select Keychain Access menu | Quit Keychain Access
  • Click X'it button
  • Select Swinwifi folder
  • Select Eject "Swinwifi"

  • Select System Preferences icon from Dock
  • Select Network folder
  • Highlight AirPort in the left panel
  • Select Advanced button
  • Choose 802.1X tab
  • Domain menu box: select User
  • Select + at bottom of left panel on window a new configuration filename untitled will appear
  • Enter the new filename swinwifi
  • Enter your SIMS username and password
  • Wireless Network: swinwifi
  • Remove tick from PEAP box
  • Highlight TTLS Protocol
  • Select Configure
  • Select TTLS Inner Authentication menu
  • Select PAP
  • Select OK
  • Network window: Select OK
  • Select Apply button
  • Select Advanced button
  • Click + at base of Preferred Networks panel
  • Enter Network Name swinwifi
  • Select Security drop down menu and select WPA Enterprise
  • Enter your SIMS username and password
  • Select Add
  • Select OK
  • Enter your Local Administrator Password
  • Select OK
  • Select Apply button
  • Select Advanced button
  • Choose Proxies tab
  • Select protocol panel: tick Automatic Proxy Configuration at the bottom of the list
  • Enter Proxy Configuration File URL: http://proxy.swin.edu.au/proxy.pac
  • Select OK
  • Select Apply button
  • Select Show All button
  • Select Menu System Preferences | Quit System Preferences
  • Select Wireless icon
  • Select Turn AirPort On
