Windows Vista 32bit Wireless Connection
Windows Vista Installation - Part 1
Note: Please ensure you have disabled any third party wireless utilities (ie Intel Pro-Set) prior to installation of Swinwifi.
- Download Swinwifi setup for Windows Vista files to your desktop
- From desktop double click downloaded Swinwifi file icon
- Installer Language screen, set to English
- Select OK
- Welcome screen, select Next
- License Agreement screen, select I Agree
- Choose Components screen, Windows Vista should be ticked in the install box
- Select Install button
- PreConfigure screen, enter SIMS Username and Password then re-enter Password
- Select OK
- Completing Setup screen, check Reboot Now radio button
- Select Finish
- Once reboot finished proceed to Windows Vista Installation - Part 2
Windows Vista Installation - Part 2
- Set Network Location screen, select Public Location
- Successfully set network settings screen, select Close
- Select Network icon (bottom right of screen) to check that you are
connected to LAN and Swinwifi
- Select Start button (bottom left of screen)
- Open your Internet Browser
- Select Tools | Internet Options
- Select Connections tab
- Select LAN settings button
- Check Use automatic configuration check box
- Enter url address: http://proxy.swin.edu.au/proxy.pac
- Select OK
- Returned to Internet Options screen, select OK
- Returned to the internet, enter any url (www.google.com.au)
- X'it internet
