This year, the Faculty of Life and Social Sciences has increased the stakes in computer games development by installing three labs of Alienware computers.

Alienware is a market leader in high performance gaming machines and have won numerous awards and gained a great deal of recognition from industry professionals and technology experts.

Swinburne will be the first Australian University to welcome Aliens into their labs. Going with this brand will enhance the reputation of our courses, and will also help solve common problems in terms of compatibility with graphics cards.

Alienware is a boutique brand of high end gaming computers, with a recognised pedigree throughout the world. They come with a very distinctive footprint, with illuminated blue LED eyes and a proprietary cabling and cooling system, to ensure maximum performance.

Not only is this the perfect solution for the Unreal Engine used in the gaming curriculum, but will also ensure we have maximum performance for multimedia applications, statistical number crunching and audio/visual production.
