Student email - Office 365

Current students are automatically allocated an email account on enrolment.

Access your account

  • Username: Your student email address as
  • Password: Your SIMS password.
  • First log in: follow steps detailed on First log in?.
    The access to Outlook could take few hours after completing the first log in process.
  • Please note that it is not possible to reset your password via an email request.
    If you forget your password you will need to go to the Self Service Password Management Portal to reset your password

To forward all messages to another email address:

  • Log into Outlook, select Options and All Options
  • From the Shortcuts to other things you can do select Forward your e-mail
  • Enter the new address in theForward my email to: text box
  • ClickStart forwarding

Troubleshooting Office 365 Mail Account Issues

Password Requirements

Due to the new email system password requirements you may need to change your password. This can be done via the Current Students - Login web site.

The Microsoft email system Password requirements now enforce the following rules:

  • Cannot be less than 8 alpha-numeric characters in length
  • Cannot be greater than 20 alpha-numeric characters in length
  • Must contain at least 1 letter
  • Must contain at least 1 number

You can also try the web site to log in as this may remove some common cookie issues that users are experiencing.

If you receive the following error when attempting to logon, you will need to do the following.

Click on Tools in the menu bar
Click on Options in the menu
Click on Clear your recent history
